She grew up in Minneapolis, Minnesota in a tight-knit community of eccentric Liberian immigrants. She writes about them often.
She's currently based in Los Angeles, where she has written on NBC's Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Hulu's The Other Black Girl, was a Co-Executive Producer on Netflix's Survival of the Thickest, and a Supervising Producer on Apple TV+'s Loot.
Recently, she wrote, directed, and starred in her short film Pick Me, Executive Produced by Lilly Wachowski, and is now developing it into a feature-length film.
She runs a production company called Palava Productions with her best friend, collaborator, and older sister. She could model but she's really more of an intellectual.
